_____________
Widely used in cosmetics and skincare, jojoba oil has more than one trick up its sleeve to care for and beautify our skin. Here's how.
Where does it come from?
Jojoba oil is a vegetable oil obtained from jojoba seeds, which are originally found in Argentina and South America more generally. With its botanical name simmondsia chinensis, jojoba oil is a guest star in organic cosmetics, appearing in many skincare products, as its virtues are suitable for all skin types. Its composition is highly appreciated because it is easily absorbed and dry to the touch, leaving no greasy film on the skin, unlike most vegetable oils.
Benefits for the skin
Jojoba oil also protects against dehydration, helps to regulate sebum secretion, and soothes tight skin. As an emollient, it also helps maintain the skin's elasticity and suppleness, while supporting the skin against skin aging.
In other words, a real little treasure, natural and organic, that we use in the formulation of many of our cosmetic products.
Jojoba oil in our PHYTO 5 cosmetic products
🧡 For example, we use jojoba seeds in the Marine Scrub, which gently exfoliates and effectively removes dead skin cells.
🧡 The Gentle Cleansing Milk contains jojoba oil for a make-up removing and antioxidant formula that softens and revitalizes the skin.
🧡 The Eye Contour Cream contains powerful anti-aging and firming plant ingredients in an organic jojoba oil base. Just like the Face Cream, which, formulated with jojoba oil and 100% natural ingredients, provides the hydration and nutrition our skin needs to be balanced.
🧡 Jojoba oil is also present in our 100% organic Ageless La Cure range, particularly in the Extreme Hydrating Cream. This organic certified moisturizing cream with aloe vera and vegetable oils, including jojoba oil, provides intense and long-lasting hydration.
🧡 The Nourishing Cream is dedicated to dry and very dry skin. It nourishes and revitalizes the skin thanks to shea butter and jojoba oil, which provide deep protection and hydration.
Also highly recommended for hair care (one to two drops added to shampoo), jojoba oil will continue to be a staple in our skincare routines.
