Plants in our skincare

_____________

Since the dawn of time, plants have accompanied us daily in what we provide to our bodies, through our diet, of course, but also and especially in cosmetics. And for good reason, our laboratory has never been so committed to developing product and care lines from plants and natural ingredients. Explanations.

"If we take nature as our guide, we will never go astray," said Cicero.

This is a statement that we have placed at the center of our philosophy and at the heart of our research in natural, organic, and holistic cosmetics.

Born from the combination of phytotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine with Western aromatherapy, our PHYTO 5 brand has been established in Fleurier, Switzerland, since 1979.

From the outset, our mission is to offer you, as well as beauty and wellness professionals, the most complete holistic experience possible. 💫

That's why, in our independent laboratory, we develop dermatological research programs that go beyond the mere search for active ingredients. Derived from both ancestral know-how and cutting-edge Swiss research, our skincare ranges and rituals have the sole objective of revealing your beauty potential.

All our products, available here on our online store, are manufactured on-site in Switzerland, with high-quality natural components 🌱 of which plants represent approximately 90% of the ingredients: algae, plankton, mineral substances (trace elements), essential oils, vegetable oils, vegetable butters; all formulated with pure spring water from the Val de Travers 💦 directly transported to our laboratory.

While the use of plants and their countless and varied virtues in body care dates back millennia, we strive to practice this with the utmost respect for what nature and our environment have to offer. That's why our laboratory is Ecocert certified and our commitment to the constant challenges of sustainable development is consistently high. ✨

Plants and their flowers represent an infinite source of inspiration in cosmetology and phytotherapy. The natural active ingredients they can release for our skin are highly sought after, especially because these are phenomena and formulas without artificial additives. This goes exactly in the direction of the trend that has become rule number 1: to reduce or even ban chemical products from our beauty and skincare routines. It is now recognized and accepted that the more natural our skin care, the more our skin will be preserved.

Rich in vitamins, plants offer a myriad of properties, adapted to each skin type and every need it may face. Nourishing, soothing, protecting, hydrating, revitalizing, beautifying the complexion, supporting the skin against aging, strengthening the hydrolipidic film, firming, evening out… the list is still long to evoke all that plants have to offer us. Add to this a team of professional and passionate researchers dedicated to developing and refining beauty and skincare treatments that are good for our body, mind, and environment, and we recognize the hallmark of our laboratory. Whether it's our Swiss range, the 5 Elements range, or our 100% organic range Ageless La Cure, we do everything possible to extract the best from the plants used, always respecting nature. Jojoba, sage, shea, eucalyptus, nettle, cinquefoil, horsetail, olive, verbena, tamanu, sunflower, sweet orange, rose, ylang-ylang, guaiac wood, avocado… all these plants are at the heart of our formulas and make our products unique in Swiss cosmetics. Not to mention aloe vera 🍀, which in the field of phytotherapy and beauty care finds few equals due to its extensive versatility in terms of benefits. The most commonly used substance is aloe vera gel, extracted from the plant's leaves and composed of 98% water. The rest are nutrients, and not just any nutrients, but a true cocktail of essential active ingredients for the proper functioning of our body: vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids.

That's why aloe vera is recommended and used in skincare for all skin types; its soothing, revitalizing, moisturizing, and anti-aging properties cover the wide spectrum of our different skin types: oily, dry, sensitive, reactive, and even skin marked by aggressions or sun exposure. 🧡

We use it in our moisturizing creams, such as the Extreme moisturizing BIO cream Ageless La Cure, as well as in our body lotions, like the BIO body milk PHYTO 5 from the Swiss range.

Facial care, body care, or hair care, plants represent the fundamental raw material and natural ingredients that define a quality and responsible product range.
